Microdosing Psychedelic Mushrooms: What Do We Know So Far?

Mushrooms come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and locations imaginable, and they have captivated not only the scientific mind. Artists, foodies, botanical aficionados, and others have all fallen in love with fungi. However, what one person likes, another may despise. Not all mushrooms are friendly, either. Today, there are over 10,000 different mushroom species that may be found all over the world! Psychedelic mushrooms are one of that mushrooms.

Each one has the potential to both benefit and hurt. Even though different forms of fungi attract different types of fans due to their appeal, one variety of mushrooms is conquering modern culture by storm.

What is microdosing, and how does it work?

Microdosers are not looking to get high. There is no clear definition of a microdose, however, most users report taking a twentieth to a tenth of a ‘full’ or recreational dose of LSD – or other psychedelic substances containing the hallucinogenic component psilocybin, such as magic mushrooms or truffles.

These medications don’t exhibit the surreal visual and audio effects that you’d expect from psychedelics when taken in such modest doses. Some believe, however, that they provide more subtle, even sub-perceptual effects.

Psychedelic Substances

Whatever our perspectives on mushrooms are, we can’t deny that these tiny plants have a lot of promise. Fungi can be used in a variety of ways in everyday life, if not thousands. For some, this entails preparing and consuming mushrooms. Others, on the other hand, may utilize mushrooms as part of a therapeutic experiment.

Consider the use of microdosing, for example. The technique of taking tiny dosages of psychedelic drugs or other substances is known as microdosing. Microdosing was reported by clinical study participants at various periods throughout the day, with varying time differences.

Psychedelic Research on Microdosing’s Beneficial Effects

Scientists have found it difficult to perform psychedelic research to verify the benefits of microdosing because of the controlled substances act. Following these clinical trials, psychedelic research has discovered that microdosing mushrooms or lysergic acid can have several advantages, including:

  • Improving one’s mood
  • Bipolar disorder symptoms should be managed.
  • Increased inventiveness
  • Improved social interaction
  • Taking care of cancer patients who are depressed
  • However, aside from assisting in the management of stress symptoms and fostering an improved mood in patients, microdosing has few other positive side effects.

Microdosing and People

Unlike other narcotics that must be injected, snorted, or smoked before taking effect, psilocybin mushrooms just need to be consumed. Of course, not everyone who wants to experience the feel-good effects of microdosing or magical fungi will enjoy the taste or want to eat mushrooms all of the time. Nowadays equivalent research has been conducted or is conducting on penis envy mushrooms as well. As a result, a variety of methods for microdosing have been devised.

  • Using candies or chocolate to cover the mushrooms
  • Mushrooms are ground into a powder and then added to baked goods in the form of crumb-like particles.
  • Using mushrooms to make a tea
  • To hide the taste of mushrooms, add them to your favorite cuisine.
  • Throughout the day, eat modest amounts of mushrooms.
