Why Pursue CA after BCom
CA is the highest level of degree in the field of business, and it is frequently regarded as one of the best-paying jobs in India.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) administers CA exams, which require a candidate to pass all three exams (Foundation, Intermediate, and Final) in order to become a Chartered Accountant.

However, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) created a direct admission option in August 2012, which allows candidates who have completed or are about to complete their graduation to apply straight for the CA Intermediate course.
A student who has passed his or her graduation in the Commerce field must have at least 55 percent in the graduation and have studied any three disciplines such as accounting, auditing, costing, taxation, management accounting, and business administration to be eligible for this scheme.
A student who enrolls in the Direct Entry Scheme does not have to take a foundation exam and is immediately admitted to the intermediate exams, making it easy for them to pursue CA following BCom.
Procedure to become CA after BCom
Through the Direct Entry Scheme, students who are graduates or postgraduates from the commerce stream with a minimum of 55 percent in graduation or other graduates with a minimum of 60 percent can enrol for the CA Intermediate.
- Before beginning Practical Course, you must successfully complete 4 weeks of ICITSS (Orientation Program and Information Technology) training.
- Then go ahead and enrol in three years of practical training.
- A student can sit for the CA Intermediate Examination after successfully completing 9 months of practical training.
- The courses have a total of seven subjects, each worth 100 points. To pass the exams, you must receive at least 40 points in each topic and an overall score of 50 percent or higher.
- After passing the IPCC, you must complete a three-year internship under the supervision of a certified CA Professional.
