  • Thereafter, move to the folder which contains the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file by following the path.

“C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.”

  • Now, right-click the EntitlementDataStore,ecml file and rename the file by adding.OLD at the end of the file name.
  • Next, open QBDT and attempt to open a sample company file.
  • If you can open a sample copy file but not the actual company file, then you should relocate the company file to a new location.
  • Try opening the company from a new location in QuickBooks Desktop to see if you get the QuickBooks has stopped operating error this time.
