Italy is a country that offers something for everyone, and it’s one of my favorite places to visit. Here’s my list of the top five places to visit in Italy:
Venice:
Venice is a city in northern Italy. It’s built on water and is known for its unique architecture, which reflects its rich history. The town has been around for over 1,000 years and has become one of Italy’s most popular tourist destinations.
Venice is home to some of Italy’s best-preserved architecture from the 15th century onwards, including palaces and churches built by nobles or wealthy merchants who ruled Venice then. Today, many tourists visit this historic city to see these beautiful buildings firsthand before continuing their journey towards other places like Florence or Rome along the Grand Canal!
Rome:
Rome is the capital of Italy and one of the most popular cities in Europe. It has a lot to offer for travelers and tourists, so if you’re looking for a unique experience to help you understand more about Italian culture and history, then Rome should be on your list!
Rome is home to fantastic attractions such as The Colosseum, Vatican City (the home of Pope John Paul II), St Peter’s Square (where every pope gets an audience with God), The Trevi Fountain…the list goes on! But are you looking for something even more exciting than all those combined? Then we’d like to introduce you to Italy’s oldest neighborhood: Trastevere!
Cinque Terre:
Cinque Terre is a coastal region in Liguria, Italy. The Cinque Terre stretches for about 30 kilometers, from the town of La Spezia, in the west, to the village of Portovenere, in the east.
The five towns that make up this region are: Vernazza; Corniglia; Manarola; Monterosso al Mare and Riomaggiore.
Cinque Terre means “the five lands,” and you can see why! The unique architecture of each village gives you a taste of what it might have been like centuries ago when these villages were first inhabited by fishers and farmers who found shelter here during storms or floods on their way home from fishing trips at sea (like many people today).
Milan:
Milan is a significant business and financial center, the fashion capital of Italy, and one of the most important cities in Europe. It is also famous for its rich cultural heritage.
The city has excellent transport links with Rome, Florence, and Venice to the north; Verona to the east; Bologna (Tuscany) and Parma (Emilia-Romagna) to the south; Genoa to the west.
Capri:
Capri is a beautiful island off the coast of Naples. It is known for its beauty, history, and culture. The island has been visited by many celebrities in recent years, and it’s no wonder why: it offers everything you could want from a vacation spot! You’ll find beaches, vineyards, hotels, and restaurants on one little piece of land.
Capri has been named one of Italy’s top tourist destinations by Lonely Planet Travel Guide 2015 book because they say: “Capri has everything you could hope for in an Italian destination.” They praise its stunning scenery and attractions like Villa Jovis (the former summer residence of Emperor Augustus), Villa Poppaea (where Cleopatra lived out her last days) & Piazza Anfiteatro, where theatre plays are performed each year during Carnival Time!
