Frontier Airlines, although it’s a budget airline, offers competitive amenities when it comes to its seats and in-flight service. Plus, they have lots of good deals on cheap flights on Frontier airlines all the time! Here’s our review of Frontier Airlines to help you decide if it’s right for you.
Seats
Frontier provides some of the most comfortable seating in any economy cabin. The pitch (the space between one seat and another) is generous and there’s adequate legroom. However, we were a bit disappointed by two things: Frontier doesn’t provide seatback entertainment (though there are power outlets on every seat), and there are no food or beverage service on Frontier airlines flights under two hours long. In addition to standard travel kits with your choice of reading material, Frontier also includes headphones with in-flight audio entertainment at each seat. These earbuds come with a bag that can be used as a purse or day bag when you land at your destination. A nice touch for budget-minded travelers!
Amenities
Frontier offers a wide variety of amenities on their planes. Some airlines charge for amenities like extra leg room or exit-row seating. Frontier airlines official site has made sure that all of their amenities are provided at no additional cost to you and your family. This includes in-flight entertainment with DirecTV via personal seatback screens or free streaming services such as Amazon Video or Netflix through your device of choice. If you’re looking for some peace and quiet with your flight, they also have noise cancelling headphones available to help make that happen. Frontier has really gone above and beyond when it comes to their in-flight experience and customer service goes above and beyond as well. If you’re headed out of Denver International Airport make sure to check out Frontier’s concourse a right at baggage claim!
Service
The service of Frontier airlines website was excellent and it showed throughout our flight. The crew members were always around and making sure that everyone’s needs were met. In addition to having blankets and pillows, they also provided hot towels. Also they came by every few minutes to ask if we needed anything else and seemed genuinely interested in providing good service. This could be a result of them being more expensive than most airlines but it still is hard to find these days. So I have no complaints about their service throughout our flight; nor do I expect I will encounter any issues with future flights either.
Best Times to Book
It’s pretty easy to tell when a flight is overbooked—you have to wait in line and someone asks you to volunteer to take a later flight. But it’s a little more difficult to figure out when you should book your ticket. That’s because airlines change their pricing based on demand, so some days will be cheaper than others. In general, I recommend booking about 2 weeks before you want to travel for domestic flights and about 6-8 weeks for international flights as that seems to be what most people do. If you can book frontier airline tickets even earlier (up to 3 months out), that can save money too; again, though, not all fares are available early on.
Best Deals on Frontier Airlines
Look for cheap flights Frontier on third-party sites like Kayak and Expedia. You can even sign up for alerts to tell you when airfare drops below a certain amount. If you’re flying out of a smaller airport or one that doesn’t offer many direct flights, book with a hub carrier. Your flight will be cheaper and more convenient since you won’t have to go through security again. Consider buying an airline miles credit card and signing up for mileage-earning cards such as gas stations or grocery stores to rack up points faster. And don’t forget about fare sales! It’s not uncommon for airlines to discount their tickets by 50% during off season months. Be sure to check in for frontier airlines your local newspaper and online deal sites like Group on. Even if you don’t travel often, these little tricks can save you money every time you fly.
